Private by default, network access only when features need it.
This policy describes the behavior of Auri 1.9.148 based on the privacy manifest and privacy information included with the release.
Data collection and tracking
Auri's Apple privacy manifest declares no collected data types, no tracking and no tracking domains. The app also states that it contains no telemetry or analytics.
Local data
Library state, subscriptions, radio stations, shortcuts, metadata and bounded caches remain on the Mac. Auri does not upload your audio files or your full playlist. Offline podcast episodes remain in Application Support until you remove them.
Online artwork
Online Artwork is off by default. Auri first tries embedded metadata and local cover files. If you enable Online Artwork, it may send a conservative artist/title search term over HTTPS to Apple's iTunes Search API and only accepts confident metadata matches.
Internet Radio and Podcasts
Internet Radio and Podcasts access the network when you search, add, refresh, resolve or play a station or feed. User-selected legacy HTTP streams and feeds may be allowed when those sources do not provide HTTPS.
External actions
The PayPal and Mail actions only open the donation link or a local email draft when you click them.
