What Auri does

Library & playlists

Maintain a separate music library with manual and rule-based smart playlists, nested folders, Favorites and Up Next. Import M3U, M3U8, PLS and Music/iTunes XML libraries.

Internet Radio

Search a public station directory, add direct stream URLs, use favorites and presets, and resolve local or remote M3U/PLS playlists. M3U8 streams are treated as HLS.

Podcasts

Manage RSS/Atom subscriptions, OPML import/export, episode search, played state and downloads for offline playback.

Gapless Assist & ReplayGain

Gapless Assist prepares the next likely local track for faster transitions. ReplayGain can apply embedded track or album gain tags without rewriting audio files.

Audio conversion

Convert supported sources through AVFoundation to WAV, AIFF, CAF PCM, ALAC, FLAC or AAC without modifying the source files.

Native Mac integration

Mini Player, macOS media keys and Control Center Now Playing, configurable global shortcuts, AppleScript playback commands and CoreAudio output-device controls.

Audio support

Playback and conversion use Apple AVFoundation. Common native formats include MP3, AAC/M4A, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF and CAF, plus compatible HLS streams. Auri also supports CUE sheets and M3U/M3U8/PLS playlist workflows. Actual decoding support depends on the installed macOS media stack.

Privacy by design

The release declares no collected data types and no tracking in its Apple privacy manifest. The app states that it contains no telemetry or analytics. Local library state, subscriptions, stations, shortcuts, metadata and bounded caches remain on the Mac.
